Hunan Party Secretary Chairs Special Meeting on Fireworks Safety Rectification List

On June 18, Hunan Party Secretary Shen Xiaoming chaired a special meeting to deeply study and implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's important instructions on safety production, and to develop a problem rectification list for the fireworks industry, effectively enhancing intrinsic safety levels.Hunan Deputy Party Secretary and Governor Mao Weiming attended the meeting.

The meeting noted that the fireworks problem rectification list was developed based on a province-wide thorough investigation and rectification of safety risks, with comprehensive involvement and joint efforts from all relevant departments. After fully incorporating suggestions from relevant departments, the list will be implemented promptly and refined in practice, ensuring strict, law-based, and thorough supervision of fireworks safety. The list covers each link of fireworks production, operation, warehousing, and transport, building a full-chain supervision system. It focuses on key risks and hazards for rectification, strengthens raw material safety management, raises entry thresholds for fireworks enterprises and practitioners, enforces the safety responsibilities of safety officers, and addresses inadequacies in safety assurance. The meeting also promoted agile and targeted legislation in the fireworks sector, targeting key difficulties and blockages in safety production management, enhancing the pertinence and effectiveness of regulations to ensure they are robust and effective.

Hunan provincial leaders Wang Daoxi, Wu Guiying, Wang Yijiao, and Chen Jing attended the meeting.
